If you've read any of my papers in the past, you know I am not a doctor, I am a woman and a communicator by profession. My husband survived the prostate cancer a little over six years. We've seen the before, during and after the procedure of stress in our lives and our relationship. Write for inspiration, love and hope for all who care to read what I offer.
Before the procedure, everyone is concerned about the outcome of the proceedings. After the procedures, everyone has questions about the relationship, sex and love. Can be confusing at times. Add to this confusion and frustration over our bodies and aging with the fact that middle-aged women are or dealing with issues of menopause hormone and their own and wow ….. It's crazy.
A middle-aged woman could be ever more emotional than ever before. Your hormones and patience level may leave much be desired. If the man's physical condition and emotional state are not the same as previous years or months, are most common stress.
My husband has spent many hours after surgery to worry about my appearance and mental state. He worried too about my convenient and if I still want him. She worried about other men love me and if I had trouble fooling? He was concerned about aging and the prosthesis they need.
Realistically, medical procedures do not make you feel sexy unless something is increasing. Even then, you definitely do not feel sexy until after it has healed. The procedures stressful because doctors are human.
You have questions and are likely to worry and fear of being different things, but if you can tell your partner and openly discuss how to help each other, you will have a stronger connection. Good luck and I send my love.
